Sunny's Miracle Balm Jamaican Me Crazy Review

So, in my swap box from Alaina, I also got Sunny's Miracle Balm Jamaican Me Crazy. I had seen this when she originally bought it and posted the one she got and saw the one she got a mutual friend. It sparked my interest and then I promptly forgot about it. Bunny's aren't know for their long term memory. Plus, I currently have Lush Lemony Flutter, Northern Star Cran-Orange Cuticle Oil, Julep Cuticle Oil and their Mighty Serum for Cuticles so I wasn't looking for one. Note, I had not been using any of these religiously.

Now, ever since I got a manicure at the salon back at the end of March and the lady cut my cuticles they have had issues. They keep tearing and they dry out and it's just not a good situation. That being said, I still was not being diligent in applying things, though I did use the Lemony Flutter at least a few times a week and it was helping my cuticles a little.

Well, then arrives this amazing smelling balm in a container like a carmex container. I have a thing for containers and for balms lol. I opened it, smelled it and fell in love. I immediately and I mean immediately started applying it. That was on Tuesday (today is Friday). Since then, I have carried it with me to work, in my purse, pulled it out and put it on my bedside table. Wherever I go, it goes. I sit at work, making phone calls and rub it in my cuticles lol. I say that I have been applying it maybe 5-6 times a day. Let me tell you, this stuff works AMAZING!!!!! It isn't oily or thick or too thin and doesn't come out in globs. It's really like the consistency of carmex lol. Can you tell I like Carmex? Anyways, rub it in and it just moisturizes and lasts. Not to mention your hands smell so good.

My cuticles have done a 180. I you look at my cuticles from a week ago to the post I just did on the You Polish you will see how nice they look now! When my phone charges I will do a comparison picture. I left my charger at work and my back up off brand charger is not doing the job. They still have a ways to go but the change in just 4 days is crazy!!It seems like it will last quite awhile and to me is a steal at $5 for 3 of the containers!! If you don't want to spend $16 on Lush Lemony Flutter but want a just as amazing product I suggest you try this! The link below takes you to her shop and she has other scents as well! I know I will be ordering more to give as gifts and to keep in my purse, desk, nightstand, everywhere!!

My First Ipsy Bag Review!

So, a few ladies I know had been bragging about the Ipsy bag and saying how great it was. You get some full sized products and sample products every month to try out from different brands. All beauty related products. I am a sucker for girly products so I thought why not give it a try? You fill out a profile on your colors and what type of products you use. After all, it's only $10 a month and the price of the products you get in the bag more than surpasses that. This month, May was a big deal because you would get a full size Zoya polish, which alone is $8. If you also had two friends sign up, you got an Urban Decay eyeshadow (swoon). I didn't get the friends but my Alaina sent me one in my swap box. Yes, I am spoiled lol.

Soooooooo, the waiting and stalking of the mailbox began. I finally got my first bag. I tore into it because I was SO excited.

I received a full size Zoya Gie Gie which is a bit light for me but still beautiful pink and glittery and we know Bunny loves the glitter. I got a full sized Pacifica roll on in Gardenia (gag--I totally do not like floral scents and this was made clear in my profile..I thought). A full size Mirabella lipstick in Posy (I don't wear lipstick this was also noted in my profile). Clear brow gel and a small sample of concealer. I admit, I opened my bag poured it out and was deflated. I had heard there was the possiblity of getting body butter or self tanner, macadamia oil, a vanilla roll on, lipgloss, etc. I figured with my profile I was bound to get one of those..But it was not to be. I admit I was upset.

I wrote their customer service to let them know that I was disappointed in the fact that I felt like the bag was not tailored to me nor were some important things taken into consideration like I hate floral scents and I never wear lipstick. They responded super quick within 48 hours and said they were shipping me a new bag with all new products and they were sorry. I was like how great is that!! Soooooo, the waiting began again! And finally my new bag came.

I opened it and..... sigh... I did get a Pacifica body butter which smells wonderful and I love. I obviously didn't get the vanilla roll on because it was the same brand, something I did not realize. I got ANOTHER Zoya Gie Gie which is fine because I have someone in mind that loves pinks and will give it to her. I received another concealer sample and.......Big Sexy Hair sample...which was not even in the list of products that were supposed to be in the bag and a Bare Minerals lipgloss in dare devil which is also not the brand of lipgloss being offered this month. Luckily, I love the lipgloss, it is plumping and a pretty color BUT I kind of felt like yes they offered me a new bag because they didn't follow my profile.....BUT it's like they threw in other months leftovers to make a bag. I did a little research and saw that the Big Sexy Hair and the lipgloss were things sent out in the last few months. I was looking forward to trying the brand of lipgloss they advertised, not a leftover (but like I said luckily I like it). And the big hair sample? IDK

Overall, I am kind of lukewarm about the bag so far. I get its only $10 and you get a chance to try all kinds of products. I love the fact that they understood why I was upset and sent me a new bag. I don't like the fact that you fill out a profile and it seems like they don't go by it. I also didn't like the fact that I feel like they threw in leftovers in the bag. If they were doing that they could of sent a note..like we ran out of the others..or threw in extras..Just kind of blah about it. My friend Alaina had the same reaction. She is African American and they sent her concealer and things more for a Caucasian person. I believe they are sending her a new bag as well. My friend Tami never received her bag and they told her they would send her a new one but it might not have the products from this month in it. So, kind of like my leftover bag.

I am going to give it a try for a month or two more and see if it changes my mind. Not to say that the products I did get aren't amazing and neat to try, it's just how everything happened. But, if you read the reviews there are lot's of happy people. I say for $10 you aren't losing much, so hey why not try it. If you decide you do, here's the link to sign up and please let me know how your experience is!

YouPolish Bunny Bitch One of a Kind!

In  my most recent swap in our nail group Lacquered with Love my partner was the amazing Alaina, who is also one of my besties, so you know my box was Ah-Mazing!! Her blog is http://www.dontspilltheacetone.blogspot.com/ All of the polishes she sent me were so awesome I can't say have a favorite but this one spoke to me because she went and had it made for me. She chose my favorite color, made sure it was dark and a holo. It is so beautiful! And it's named after my nickname, which Alaina and Tami picked for me. Bunny Bitch!!

It went on like a dream it wasn't too thick but not too thin either. The two pictures on the left are with one coat of Nail Tek Xtra and two coats of Bunny Bitch. The two on the right are the same but with a coat of Essie Good to Go on top. I cannot wait to grab some pictures of this in the sun and catch all the holo goodness. As you can see, I am just in love with it. It's now my cover photo on facebook :)

You too can create your own polish as well or one for a friend. They can be purchased at http://www.etsy.com/shop/YouPolish.

What Pantry Staples Are A Must? Another Guest Post by Ashley W

Guess who's back? Back again. Ashleys back. Tell a friend.

And now that song is probably stuck in your head. You can thank me later.

As a home cook and a couponer I usually get tons of questions asking for easy cost effective recipes. There are many ways to make easy, cheap, hearty, healthy recipes without costing a ton of money. The main thing of making a meal cost effective but still delicious is the ingredients you use. I'm all for recipes that call for minimal processed food, I like my food from scratch as much as I possibly can get it. One thing about cooking things from scratch is YOU control the ingredients. You control how spicy, creamy, salty, or sweet. Even if you are an unexperienced cook there are a few items I think anyone who wants to cook from scratch should have. The ingredients in my top five list can be used for some many different recipes, from soups to pastas, from Mexican to Italian.

Here's my top five.

Now it may not look like much but I can't tell you how many recipes I have that call for one or all of these ingredients.

For starters you see unsalted butter, not I Can't Believe It's not Butter or Country Crock, plain ordinary unsalted butter. Whether you are baking or cooking this is a MUST. I chose unsalted because I control the salt, which in baking is something you have to have. Butter is more flavorful than that stuff in the tub, and in some studies has shown to be better for you than the other stuff. I use this is almost everything I cook, usually use it in combo with an good Olive Oil.

Secondly I use tomato paste in a tube, some may like the can but I like the tube better because I can squeeze out a tablespoon or two and throw it back in the fridge. No scrapping out cans or finding a container to put it in. Whether you are making a soup, stew, roast, or stove top meal, tomato paste adds a depth to your meal that makes it seem like its been cooking all day.

Next thing I absolutely love is preminced garlic. Is it the lazy way out yes, but I hate chopping garlic. I use to buy the whole cloves of garlic but most of the time it would go to waste before I was able to use all of it. This sits neatly in my fridge and I'm able to use it when needed and not worry about garlic going to waste.

Now onto onions. Onions are one thing I hated growing up but as I got older I discovered caramelized onions, that now I absolutely love. Onions are one of those things that is probably in almost every dinner recipe out there and the starter to most of them. I always keep a few onions on hand every week. If you are worried you won't use them in time, chop them up and freeze them!

Lastly is unsalted chicken stock. Like mentioned before I use unsalted so I can control the stock. Whenever these go on sale I stock up. I use these for so many things. I usually keep one in my fridge if I have any leftovers. Like tomato paste this is something that can add extra depth and flavor to tons of recipes. When certain recipes call for water to be used I sometimes substitute chicken stock for that extra flavor.

Guest Post From Alaina @ Don't Spill The Acetone

Hi there!

My name is Alaina from Don't Spill The Acetone. I was so excited when Dawn asked me to do a guest blog post. Hopefully she'll do one for me sometime! :) She gave me free reign to talk whatever I want and of course I choose Nails! So my topic is short nails and nail art. One of the most common misconceptions out there is that you need long nails to do rockin nail art and I'm here to show you that simply isn't true. Now normally I wear acrylics. I absolutely love them and contrary to what some people may say, acrylics can help you grow out long and healthy nails. Here lately though I've been to lazy to do them. HAHA! So I decided to do a mani on my real nails. My inspiration came from this awesome phone case.

And here is my take on it.

Pretty cool right!? See! Any nail length can handle a little nail art! To get this look I started with a base coat of Essie Marshmallow. The print was done with Kleancolor-Neon Yellow, Barielle- Central Park (green) Zoya Coco (redish color), and China Glaze Grape Pop (purple). The black was done using a nail art pen made by Cina. You can use a wide range of different things for leopard print. Stripers, brushes, a bobby pin, dotting tools, look around your house I'm sure you'll find something.

I have to tell you I love this mani! It think it is perfect for summer. I hope you guys try it out. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Thank you Bunny for allowing me to share this on your blog. I hope to see you over at Don't Spill The Acetone soon! :)

Rainbow Honey & Kelara Polish

Tonight I went ahead and did my Mani for my Monday challenge in the polish group I'm in. I used my Rainbow Honey Robot Collection polish that I bought during the Fab.com sale, which are metallics in femme bot which is the pink and skyward bot which is the blue. I topped the blue with Kelara daydream I got as an ROAK from Lisa S.

The Rainbow Honey had a easy application and with two coats it was streak free. The Kelara was a bit harder to get on because the glitter is heavy and has a tendency to settle at the bottom. But with a good shake it was good to go!! I love the Girly look of this.

This is one coat of Nailrek Xtra with two coats of Rainbow Honey and then one coat of Kelara.

Get Paid to Watch TV!!

How many of you watch at least a few tv shows each night? Or even just turn it on for background noise while you do other things around the house? I know I do and now you can turn it into giftcards!!

Viggle is an awesome iphone or android app that you can use to get points for watching tv. You download the app and check in by letting your phone listen to the tv. It then checks you in for the show. You can sometimes answer live questions as well as earn extra points for special shows.

I normally can get enough points in 2 weeks of tv checking in to get a $5.00 giftcard. I just redeemed one today for Starbucks. Previously, I have gotten them for CVS, Sephora and Best Buy. The gift cards available change as well so there is always a great variety. Don't miss out on your chance to make money for doing something you do daily anyways!!

Be a Crafty Hooker A Guest Blog From Theresa M.

Dawn asked me if I could do a guest blog for her and the glutton for punishment that I am, I said yes.  She knows that I am a somewhat crafty person and suggested I do one of some stuff that I make.

I love to crochet and I do knit also.  As a small child I can remember my grandma crocheting all the time.  I still have afghans and some dolls that she made me, years and years ago.

This year will be 10 years since my grandma passed away, and I used to kick myself because I never took the time to have her teach me this art.  By taking a piece of hooked metal and some yarn and turning it into something beautiful is art in my opinion.

It took me several years before I finally got into crochet.  I actually taught myself to knit first.  Well actually I tried crochet, couldn't get hang of it and decided to trying knitting.  So I knitted for a year before I tried crocheting again.  I found this video and finally understood what was going on.

The first item I made was a bunny hat, of course that ugly thing went to Dawn, since she's the bunny lover.  Anyway, I got better over time and even now, I am still learning.

Nordstrom Crochet Hobo Bag

That bag was one of my favorites that I made another cousin for Christmas.  I made her husband a boobie pillow.  He loves that thing.  He's used it so much it needs a boob job ;)

All the links I have given for the items are all from Raverly.  That is a great spot to get patterns, help and finding local crocheters or knitters.

Course we can't forget a picture of Dawn in another of her favorite animals.

If Dawn has me back, I can do posts of single projects or whatever tickles your fancy.  I hope you enjoyed.

Thanks Theresa for writing this guest blog! I hope that you all enjoyed it and can leave her feedback on it and let her know what kind of projects you would like to see more of!

Theresa is a SAHM to Jackson. She loves to read, cook, crochet, and bake. She is an all around talented person whether it be fixing things around the house, crafts or working on a car. She has tons of great recipes and craft projects she has done that I hope will be featured more on here.

CVS Coupon Deal by Guest Blogger Ashley W.

First off I want to say how happy I am that Dawn asked me to write a guest blog post for her. I have my own blog but I'm currently unable to post since my computer is out of commission. I've missed blogging and can't wait to get a new computer so I can get back in the action. One of the reasons I say I'm honored is I've always hated writing and English has always been my least favorite subject. When I shared some of my blogs with a group of people, including Dawn, she told me how much she loved the way I worded things and my writing. This was a huge compliment to me since its something I've always loathed and thought I wasn't that great at. Hopefully I'll be able to blog some more for Dawn so all of you can give me any feedback you think I might need.

Dawn asked me to type up a blog dealing with coupon. For anyone that doesn't already know I have couponed for almost three years. (Couponed is probably not in the Webster but I like to use it frequently.) My habits of how I coupon have changed throughout these few years. From being all in and getting every deal there was the first year to now, it's more fine tuned and I'm more wary of my purchases. Two of my favorite stores are Publix and CVS.  When I tell people where I shop most of the time I get the response, "Those stores are too expensive!" And they are correct on any everyday common shopping trip to the non couponer they are expensive. But there's this dirty little secret I'm going to let you in on, their sales and coupon policies kick butt!

This deal posted is from CVS, which is a better post because most everyone has access to a CVS. For CVS you will need an ExtraCare card. Very easy to get, go to the cashier and tell her you want one. That was simple, right? If you haven't done so already sign up for an online account, they will send you awesome coupons in the mail and via email. Also sign up for the beauty club, for every $50 you spend you will get $5 in ECB. CVS is my staple store for household products and beauty care.

CVS has something called Extra Care bucks, they are essentially CVS cash that you get when you buy certain items that are noted in the sales ad. After you buy the product there will be a coupon that prints on the end of your receipt, that's your ECB. Best deals come from when you use ECB that you currently have to purchase something that will reward more ECBs.

Now onto my deal.

CVS has a great deal on paper towels this week. Sparkle is $5 an 8 pack and is part of a promo that will reward you with $10 ECB when you spend $30. There's a bunch of other stuff included in the deal so be sure to check it out. Another deal I wanted to finish out on was the awesome Sally Hansen deal that rewards you with $5 ECB when you spend $10, this also counts towards your beauty club total. So here's the breakdown.

4 Sparkle paper towels $5 each: $20
2 Gallons of Lipton Tea $2/$5   :  $5
1 12 pack of Lipton Tea $5.        :  $5
All of these are part of the same deal
4 Sally Hansen Polish $5.29 each: $21.16
1 box of Revlon hair color $4.49
You get $2 ECB when you buy one

Total after sales prices and before coupons : $55.65
I used a $5/$30 CVS coupon that was emailed to me
Used 4 $1/1 Sparkle Paper towel coupons
Used 4 $4/1 Sally Hansen Polish Coupons
Used $25 in ECB

Total after was $5.65 and I received $22 back in ECB.

I wish I could say this was a perfect trip and went off without a hitch but that wouldn't be true. Upon the lady scanning.my coupons two of the Sally Hansen wouldn't scan. She noticed she didn't scan two of them. Then when I got.my receipt I.noticed I was charged three times for the hair color instead of once, and $2 in ECB from the hair.color and $5 in ECB from sally Hansen didn't print. So I promptly took it back up there before I ever left the store. Always check your receipt before you leave! I got my refund and my ECB I was missing. Upon further inspection of my receipt I realized my $2/1 Revlon coupon didn't get scanned so it should have been $3 and some change. Oh well, you win some you lose some.

Hope you enjoyed reading my guest blog post. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Note from Dawn Bunny:

Just a quick thank you to Ashley for the amazing blog post. I hope that you all enjoyed it and give her feedback. It is also my hope that she will be a continued contributor here on my blog, as I know she has a wealth of information to share with you on many topics!

Ready Set Eat!

Recently, I stumbled across a hidden gem! Ready Set Eat is a website that has amazing recipes that are quick and easy to make. The best part about it is that you can set your location, so when it brings up the recipe it tells you which of the ingredients are on sale and what store is closest to you that has them! Could life get any easier?
Let's say you had a hard day at work or if you are a SAHM you just had one of those days where you don't feel like slaving over the hot stove. BUT, you want to be able to feed your family a healthy well balanced meal. What do you do? Jade Holografico Fascinio Violeta

As most of you know I am a nail polish fanatic. I collect it, I talk about it, I write about it, I just love it. One of my favorite types is holographic polish which is just like you are thinking, the polish shows a holographic rainbow in it if its linear and if its scattered then its just a twinkling holographic effect.
I was always told Jade was one of the best brands. It is a bit hard to get because its s Brazilian polish but I stumbled across a few in blog sales and I jumped on the chance to own one.
My main issue with holographic a was the way they applied was thin and streaky and that you can't wear a normal base coat or top coat. So I finally got what ever holo polish collector needs, an aqua base. I went with Nfu-oh aqua base because I have heard great things about it.
So for this particular mani I have a coat of Nailtec Xtra which I've been using to strengthen and grow my nails. I then applied a thin coat of Nfu-oh aqua base. Now here's the thing, this will never completely dry. You paint your nail color over it while its wet and it combined with the colored polish will dry.
Next,I put on two coats of Jade. What I love about this is though its a bit thin, it goes on perfect. No streaks and no bubbles. The brush is an absolute dream it just applies flawlessly. It is nothing like some of the other holo polishes I have tried like Layla or China Glaze.
Finally, I did an accent nail with Hard Candy hip hip hooray. Now I rarely wear a top coat because most people say it takes away from the holographic effect. On that note the pictures holding the Hard Candy bottle are the ones with the top coat. I used Seche Fast Drying Top Coat and I honestly saw no change in the holo effect.
I have to say everything about this polish is a dream. I absolutely love it and I can't wait to own more colors in this line. After all, what's better than the color purple and adding a holographic effect to it? Why that's Bunny heaven!!

Check out my Sally Hansen Deal at CVS

So, today I took advantage of the Extra Care Bucks being offered by CVS on Sally Hansen nail polishes. Now through tomorrow they are giving you $5 extra care bucks when you make a purchase of 10.00 worth of nail polish. You are allowed a limit of 6 times!!
Basically, what I did was roll my transactions. Meaning for my first transaction I bought 2 Sally insta-dri polishes @ 5.79 each. I then used 2 of my $4 off 1 polish coupons that were in the 5/5 red plum inserts. This brought my total down to $3.58 plus tax. I paid right around $4.00 and got back $5 in extra care bucks.
I then bought 2 more polishes and used two more of the same coupons. I added in two candies worth about 2.00 to bring my total  up over 5.00. I then used my extra care buck of 5.00 and only paid tax which was around thirty cents. I repeated this scenario six times total.
In the end I ended up with 12 polishes for around 5.00 total and still walked out with $5 in extra care bucks.
Now all couponers have the oh crap instances. In reality what I should of done was get three polish each transaction instead of the candy and it would of come out right around the same price in the end. Allowing me 18 polishes for $5.
But you live and you learn and now I have lots of chocolate to eat while painting my nails. Hurry over and get your deal today!!

Quick and Easy Pot Roast with Garlic Butter Potatoes

I am always looking for a quick and easy meal for dinner, especially when I know I have tons of things to do during the day. Who wants to run around all day, then come home and cook a long drawn out meal?
This meal takes 15 min prep in the morning, then 5 minute prep in the evening with 25 minute cooking time!

For the morning part:
2 pound roast cut according to your choosing, I used rump roast for this
1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning
1 packet of Lipton's Onion Mushroom Soup Mix
1 1/2 cups of water

Place the roast into a slow cooker on low. Add both packets of the seasoning mix and then the water over it. Set aside...this will be ready for you when you get home!!

Evening Part:
5 medium potatoes
4 cloves of garlic
1 stick of butter
1 tablespoon of italian seasoning

Preheat oven to 375
Slice potatoes into squares, place in baking pan
Add in stick of butter
Add in small sliced pieces of garlic and italian seasoning
Place in oven for 25 minutes

Now, I added croissant rolls in with mine and just added them into the oven 10 minutes before the potatoes were done.

Once the potatoes are done, everything is ready to go!! Tastes like you slaved over the oven but all in all it barely took 45 minutes of your time! The leftover pot roast can also be used the next day for sandwiches or even frozen for future use.

Hope you enjoy!

Zoya pixie dust Liberty

A nail friend of mine recently surprised me with Liberty from the Zoya Summer Pixie Dust line. I currently have the black one Dahila from the winter line and loved it!! Now, I didn't want the whole summer line because some are near dupes of the Julie G Gumdrop line and I have that collection. But, Liberty is definitely not a dupe. It has an amazing gorgeous bright blue color. The texture shines through with glitter. I did use two coats because with just one it was a bit streaky. I used Nail Tek extra as my base coat, which I've been using to help grow out my nails then I followed with two coats of Liberty. It looks great in regular lighting and I can't wait to see it in the sun!! As always Zoya never disappoints me!! You can purchase this at

Almost Free on Sally Hansen's Nail Products at CVS

This week from Sunday, May 5 to Saturday May 11 CVS is running an awesome, almost free deal on Sally Hansen Cosmetics! If you spend $10 you get $5 ECB. The even better part of this deal is that this Sunday's Red Plum should carry a 4.00 off $1 Sally Hansen polish. The polish in my stores run about $6.00, so with a 4/1 coupon you are only paying 2.00 a piece BUT the $6.00 counts toward your $10!

Here is a scenario:
Buy 2 Sally Hansen Nail Polishes @ 6.00 each
Use 2 4/1 Sally Hansen Polish Coupons
Total Out of Pocket would be $4.00 plus tax
Receive $5 in ECB to use for your next purchase
This makes it a money maker! You actually receive a dollar or a little less back for buying 2 bottles!

I personally love their Insta-Dri polishes they have out as well as their Total Manicure ones. They are really making the colors outstanding now.

Another great thing is the Beauty Club! Make sure you sign up at CVS! For every $50 purchased in beauty products you get $5 back in ECB. So this would put you $12 toward your goal!

Hurry and get yours!

Fried Food Friday

I was raised in Texas, where everything is better fried. Tonight, I was in the mood for some good old fashioned country fried foods. I decided that I would make fried pork chops, home fries and fried corn. Sometimes I will be making a video of me cooking, but for now, I have tried to include some pictures along with step by step instructions. So, let's get started!!

Fried Pork Chops

3-4 Pork chops (I prefer the larger thin sliced ones which usually come in the assorted pack)
1 cup of self rising flour
3 tablespoons of chili powder
2 tablespoons of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of Lawry's garlic salt
1 tablespoon of pepper
1/2 tablespoon of oregano
1 1/2 cups of oil
First, add your flour and all the spices in to a bowl that will fit the pork chops. Wash the pork chops off with water and leave them a bit damp. Pour a good amount of oil in a deep skillet, I use about a cup and a half and turn it on medium.
Now, once you have all the spices and flour in the bowl stir well with a spoon to make sure that the spices and flour are mixed well together. Next, get a pork chop and coat it thoroughly with flour. I use tongs to do this that way my fingers aren't in the flour and there aren't spots without flour and I am able to dunk it around and get it really coated.
Now, it's ready to go into the oil which should be nice and heated. I usually throw a bit of flour into the oil to make sure it hot enough, it will bubble up a bit to let you know. Put the pork chop in the skillet and let it lightly brown for 2 minutes on one side. Then, take the tongs and flip it over and let it cook for 8 minutes. At this point, lower the heat a bit to medium/low. Flip the pork chop over and let it cook for another 8 minutes.

Pull it out and drain it on a paper towel. Repeat this process with the other pork chops. You can put more than one in a pan but the skillet I used was a bit small. Make sure when you are first browning them for the 2 then 8 minutes that the heat is on medium then turn it down for the other 8. This is key to getting a crunchy and good batter and making sure it's not burned but a nice brown color. The end result should look like this!

Home Fries

3-4 medium potatoes of your choice
1 red onion
1/2 cup of oil
2 tablespoons of Lawry's Seasoning Salt

Now with these, I usually prep them at the same time as the pork chops so they can be cooking in another pot while I fry my chops. Put the oil in a skillet on medium heat. Chop the potatoes and the onions into small squares. Then place into the oil and sprinkle the Lawry's on top.
You will cook on medium low heat for 25 minutes. Put a cover over it and make sure to stir the potatoes every 5 minutes or so to avoid sticking. Once they start to brown, take the cover off and turn up the heat to medium high and brown for 5 minutes. They are done with they are soft and brown. They should look like this!

Fried Corn on the Cob

2-3 full size ears of fresh corn
1 egg
3/4 cup of milk
Remaining seasoned flour from pork chops
Remaining oil from pork chops and potatoes

I always use fresh corn because to me it is sweeter. So once you shuck the corn, boil it in hot water for about 20 minutes until tender.

Combine the remaining oil from the pork chops and potatoes leaving out the bottom flour that has settled. Turn on medium high.Mix the egg and milk together in a bowl then dredge each ear of corn in the mixture
Then, coat the ear of corn entirely in the flour mixture making sure it is fully covered and shake off any excess flour.
Place the ears of corn into the hot oil and fry for 2 minutes on each side
Once it is golden brown on each side, remove and let drain on a paper towel

The overall dinner will look like this!! Highly fried and I am sure a bit fattening but oh so good!!
I added some hot sauce because what is a chop without some Louisiana hot sauce and of course some ketchup for the taters! If you have any questions feel free to comment or if there is a particular dish you would like featured just let me know!! Enjoy!!

Are You Ready to Enter Bunny's World?

Thank you all for stopping by our little piece of the world. Recently, a light bulb came on in Kay's head and she thought that it would be total awesome sauce to put all my time I spend on the internet and her creative ability to good use! So, the launch of www.itsabunnysworld.com came to be!
It is of course connected with our Facebook page www.facebook.com/itsabunnysworld , Twitter account https://twitter.com/ItsABunnysWorld  and our YouTube Channel www.youtube.com/itsabunnysworld. Seems like a lot of accounts, but we would love for you to like or follow them all! After all, you wouldn't want to miss something. I mean I could do a post that just rocks your world! Doesn't everyone need to know how to organize their sock drawer?
Our main goal of having a social media presence is to be able to share things we know, experience new things and just make people smile. With that being said, we want to have a variety of things. I don't want you coming here every day (yes, I said every day) and just see the same type of topics over and over. I think there are enough one topic related blogs out there and I have way to much energy and glittery things going on to only focus on one thing.....oh look, squirrel!! Between Kay and I, I believe we can find something that will interest everyone. It may not be that particular day, but I am a positive Bunny and there is always the next day.
This is a work in progress and I am sure things may change here and there as we learn and grow with ya'll. Themed days are planned and we hope to alternate a blog post with a video post each day.So there will always be plenty to talk about and I am open to researching and learning about things you would like to hear about! All comments will be answered because I want interaction, I want your thoughts and opinions and questions! Off the top of my head, I know that we will be featuring nails, couponing, cooking, books, movies, exercise, makeup tips, haircare (dreads and hair dying), places of interest in New York City, current events, fishing and of course my superstar bunny Thumper!!
                                                                  THUMPER
There are tons more things that I know will be coming, but it's a little much to put all my ideas out there and it would probably bore you to death....This is kind of long as it is, so I might want to wrap it up before I lose you! So, a few more things, I am also lucky enough to know some other awesome bloggers who will be making guest appearances. Basically, it's going to be a great big hodgepodge of ideas made into blogs and How-To Videos!
So please, sit back and enjoy the experience with us! I have learned you never know what life will give you, what you could learn or who you will meet so let's get this adventure started!
After all, it it Bunny's world, so come along for the ride!
